Just on the train home from the good food show at the NEC with Sarah, Mum and Dad. Had a great day and really enjoyed a wine presentation and tasting with Sarah Jane Evans in the morning (wine for breakfast. Why not) which was very interesting and informative. Had a stop by later on whilst Ollie Smith was doing the demonstrating and enjoyed his energy and passion for everything.
Managed to taste quite a numberof wines and made a good few purchases. Not to mention the amount of food stands available to see, although there weren’t as many food samples readily available as I expected, still a great evening all in all and looking forward to next years show.

Good food (and wine)
Saturday, November 28th, 2009Games and Friends
Thursday, November 26th, 2009Well Assassins Creed 2 did arrive a while ago now and has been great fun on the PS3 whenever I get a chance to play it, mostly due to how much Sar and I do, but when we do have some spare time I do get to clock up some time on the PS3 which I am grateful for
And the game has fully lived up to its reputation so far. There are occasional moments when you may find yourself shouting at the screen due to the idioticy of the ‘free-running’ during tense moments or in races, but for the most part the game is great.
It has, unfortunately, taken me away from the new Modern Warfare 2 game a little bit, but I still manage to clock up a good number of hours on that game when I have friends over (like last night) due to the multiplayer options in the game. Had a great night on there with friends last night however. Although felt quite bad in the middle of the evening when I discovered one of my friends, Matt, whom I thought I had invited had infact not received the email about the evening. I have since modified my email list. Luckily for this event Matt was unable to attend anyway, but I do feel bad that he was unaware of it. Still, the evening went well with lots of gaming, chatting and beer drinking time (topped off with a nice curry) and we managed to get the final stages of the ‘Special Ops’ missions unlocked before the end of the evening (although the missions now available for the final stage sound absolutely manic. One is even described as ‘probably not possible’ in the mission description within the game). So good luck to that.
I think we shall be off to the gym this evening, and then some gaming time afterwards whilst Sarah looks over some books, and then an early(ish….for me) night. Looking forward to the weekend and the ‘Good Food Show’ at the NEC quite a lot. Should be good fun. If only I can find an app to upload pictures to my website from my iPhone like I can with facebook and twitter…. hmmm. I shall have to have a good look around.
Fun fun fun
Thursday, November 19th, 2009Well, hopefully Assassins Creed 2 will be arriving later today through the post, however Stuart (from work) is coming over this evening for a gaming session on Modern Warfare 2, which hopefully Sarah will also be joining us for later on in the evening. Chris was originally scheduled to join us too, but unfortunately other commitments (birthday parties) have come up, which he (obviously) should be going to rather than a gaming night. However I’m sure there will be another gaming night before too long, so that should resolve that issue
Had a great night looking around different places yesterday after work and saw a nice place over near Dudley. Although it is the first nice place we have seen so far, it by no means stands as our desired place as we have not seen many just yet, but it would be nice to have a change of scenery from the current house (even though it is in a prime location for work and heading into town).
MW2
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009Had a great weekend at the Wellington and at the German Christmas Market with friends this weekend, with Chris and Stuart coming back to the house for some gaming, drinks and sleepover. Turned into a lovely evening with friends and Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare 2. Have since arranged another MW2 evening with them both later this week, which should be great.
Tried to pop into town to get some deals at the meat Market on Saturday, but unfortunately by the time we had arrived they had sold out of most of the meats we were interested in. Still had a lovely time in town all the same, and finally returned the loan phone from T-mobile that I have had for far too long
